The island of Gods makes a perfect holiday in Bali for families. On the island are plenty of fun activities and things to do. A Bali holiday means a lot of entertainment for the whole family. Our team has lived, traveled and visited Bali numerous times with their family and we’d love to share our top 15 fun things to do in Bali with kids.

Why Bali for families is a great idea!

Maybe the best thing about visiting Bali with kids is that the locals absolutely love children! Kids in Bali get a lot of attention from everybody, especially in restaurants and hotels. Besides that the locals adore kids, Bali has got perfect family beaches and activities. There are plenty of All-Inclusive hotels in the Nusa Dua area which cater perfectly for families. Many of these hotels have family rooms, pools, playgrounds and kids clubs. A holiday in Bali in one of these hotels means a fun holiday for your kids and a very relaxing holiday for you!

Bali with toddlers: choose your locations and accommodations wisely

If you’re planning a Bali trip with a toddler make sure you choose your locations and accommodations wisely. Not all areas in Bali are suitable for toddlers. Nusa Dua makes a very good location for families with small kids, since the beaches and waters are calm. Sanur is also a very good option for a Bali family holiday. Traveling around the island can be a bit of challenge as it’s difficult to walk the streets with a stroller but a lot of it is mindset as well. We did some really nice rice field trekkings with a baby carrier and that went perfectly for hikes up to maximum 2,5 hours in the early morning when the sun wasn’t at it’s hottest yet. When you hire a car with driver for a day, you can explore some of the inland areas. It’s easy to book a nice villa with pool or book a room in a hotel with a pool where you can enjoy the afternoons playing in the water. A good thing to realize is that there are not many parks in Bali. Some of the sights, like the water palace in the east, have nice areas where you can set up a picknick but mainly you’re depending on restaurants/warungs when traveling inlands.
